Machelmata Sthan derived its name from the village Machel where the temple is located. The village Machel is located in the district Kishtwar near town Gulabgarh of Jammu and Kashmir India.
Distance from Jammu to the town Gulabgarh about 290 Kms. The bus journey takes 10 hrs apprx. from the Jammu city. The distance from Ramban is around 197 Km. Cab service is also available from Katra and Jammu.Helicopter service to Machel is also available from Jammu and the base camp Gulabgarh during yatra period.

History

• In 1834, Jorawar Singh had sought blessings of Maa Durga at Machel before advancing to Laddakh in 1834.After his miraculous victory he became faithful devotee of Machelmata
• Maa Durga is supposed to present in 'sakshat roop' in the Temple Of Machel. Many stories of supernatural happennings are heard from the pilgrims.

Terms and Conditions of Service.

• The Helicopters service shall operate subject to fair weather conditions, clear visibility of the range prescribed by the DGCA and clearance by the ATC.
• Same day Passengers reporting will be in the morning from 05:30 hrs to 13:00 hrs. as informed time to time & for night halt passenger’s reporting will be after 15:30 hrs only & there slots will be informed at Gulabgarh Office.
• The time given to the passenger would be the reporting time only & it should not be considered as flight timings.
• Passengers are requested to contact Gulabgarh office a day prior to their journey.
• Same day passenger’s would be given preference over night halt & one way passenger’s
• Passenger’s would be allocated flights on first come first serve basis.
• The minimum waiting period of passenger’s would be 1 hour but may exceed to 3 – 4 hours as per the ground situations such as weather condition, time of refuelling , the helicopter or non-availability of passengers at either side.
• If the flight is cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances such as bad weather, helicopter un serviceability etc The full refund of the ticket would be accorded and sundry charges will not be refund.
• No ticket would be carry forwarded to next day.
• No accommodation, meal or cost of transport would be paid or reimbursed or compensated.
• We try our bet to accommodate passenger in their own groups, however it may not be possible all times because of weight adjustment in the flight. The group may be divided in subsequent flights.
• The passenger having weight more than 90 kg would be charged extra Rs.150/Kg & Passenger having more than 120 kg wieght will have to take double ticket.
• Handicapped, Children & old person (above 80 yrs) would be given preference.
• Passenger may carry only 1 small bag of not more than 2kgs off weight in flight.
• Excess volume baggage would not be allowed in helicopter flight.

Cancellation Policy

• The Travel document issued by the company shall be subject to their rules of cancellation as follows :
• Flight cancelled by Aviation co. – full fare shall be refunded other than sundry/payment gateway not refund.
• Up to 48 hours before flight departure time – 90% of their total fare shall be refunded.
• 25 to 47:59 hours before flight departure time -50% of the total fare shall be refunded.
• Less than 24 hrs before flight time shall be treated as “NO SHOW” no refund shall be allowed.
